THE YNU SURVEYS

The YNU Surveys is a project running throughout the ward of Yiewsley in the London Borough of Hillingdon in August 2024. By asking you to complete these surveys we are trying to better understand the lived experiences of Yiewsley residents and what you hope to see in the neighbourhood in the future.

Starting on the 14th August 2024, for four weeks, you will be emailed a short survey to complete each week. This should take no longer than 10 minutes.

Residents of Yiewsley ward are invited to participate in this study. Please add your email to the mailing list on the project page here to be notified when the survey is released each week.

The Postcard Project pilot is a project running at a select number of addresses throughout the ward of Yiewsley, in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
During the Postcard Project pilot, we are trying to establish what methods of community engagement would be most successful in Yiewsley.
Like the YNU Surveys we are trying to better understand the lived experiences of Yiewsley residents and what you hope to see in the neighbourhood in the future.

Starting on the 14th August 2024, for four weeks, a postcard will be delivered to your home containing a short survey and an activity each week. These postcards are then posted back to us in a YIEWSLEY NEEDS US postbox to be analysed and documented by the YNU team.
Like the YNU surveys, we are collating stories of everyday life in Yiewsley and what residents hope to see in the neighbourhood in the future.
It is not possible to participate in the Postcard Project unless you have been specifically invited via a letter to your home. This pilot project is currently in progress at a very limited number of addresses in the ward.

The Sorting Office is a speculative project designed in the first year of our Lead Researcher's Master of Architecture degree. It is an imagined community gathering space for residents to connect and gather to make decisions about the future of their neighbourhood.
